The Annual Coyote Country "Cross-Country Caper & Poker Run"

An fun filled flying event and fund raiser held each fall for the Coyote County Chapter Ninety-Nines flight scholarship program. A great cross-country trip for students & CFIs too!


How to play: Fly to 5 airports and collect a playing card at each for every hand of poker you buy. Airports included in the Poker Run are: Fallbrook, Ramona, Gillespie, Hemet, Oceanside & the terminus is at French Valley Airport. Start at any airport but you must finish at French Valley! Planes must land at 5 of the 6 airports to collect cards to be eligible for prizes at the finish.  

Cost is $4 per hand or $10 for 3 hands of poker. 

Where do you buy your poker cards?

Fallbrook  @ transient ramp, Gillespie @ the terminal building, Hemet @ Hangar #1 Cafe, Oceanside @ the airport office, Ramona @ the transient ramp &  French Valley @ the terminal. Ground or UNICOM will provide progressives if need be.


Buy as many hands as you wish. The more hands you have, the better your chances to win prizes! The best hands of poker will pick their prizes at the finish of the race. There will also be a silent auction at the terminus of the Poker Run in French Valley.


This event is open to everyone, not just Ninety-Nines. All  pilots and their non-pilot passengers who wish to participate in the Poker Run may purchase hands of poker and have a chance to win from dozens and dozens of great prizes!
